FU TUKE and V4 Partners at an International Exhibition in Eger
On March 25, 2026, the Eszterházy Károly Catholic University in Eger hosted the ceremonial opening of the latest cycle of the V4 countries' exhibition series titled Visual Communication Design in Time and Space. The exhibition presents current trends in communication design within the Central European region.
The exhibition is the result of a collaborative effort between partner institutions: the Faculty of Arts of the Technical University of Košice (TUKE), Tomas Bata University in Zlín, the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, and the Eszterházy Károly Catholic University in Eger. The project is curated by an international team led by Assoc. Prof. Andrej Haščák, ArtD., Head of the Department of Design at the Faculty of Arts, TUKE.
The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Dr. Ilona Pajtók-Tari, PhD., Rector of Eszterházy Károly Catholic University; habil. Lajos Csontó, Dean of the Institute of Media and Design; Assoc. Prof. Richard Kitta, ArtD., Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the Technical University of Košice; and Prof. Dr. István Erős, Rector of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in Budapest.
Representing the project’s lead partner, the Department of Design at FA TUKE, the exhibition was officially opened by Assoc. Prof. Andrej Haščák, ArtD., and Vice-Dean Eva Jenčuráková, ArtD.
This project serves as a long-term platform for international cooperation, bridging arts education, research, and professional practice in the field of visual communication. Following previous showcases in Katowice, Zlín, and Košice, the exhibition continues its journey in Eger, reaffirming the growing importance of interdisciplinary dialogue within the V4 region.
The program also included professional meetings focused on enhancing mutual pedagogical, scientific-research, and artistic cooperation. The partners identified new opportunities for joint projects and the formation of international consortia with the potential for involvement in Erasmus+, Creative Europe, Interreg, and V4 programs.
