Department of Design
The Department of Design provides education within the Design study programme, focusing on product and spatial design, innovation, and visual communication. Teaching is centred around specialised studios and combines artistic creativity, technical thinking, design research, and experimentation. Emphasis is placed on working with both traditional and advanced materials and technologies, prototyping, functionality, sustainability, and the development of innovative solutions responding to the changing needs of society. The interdisciplinary university environment enables design to connect with other fields across a broad spectrum of contemporary design practice.
