The Faculty of Economics of TUKE has once again prepared a series of online and in-person AI courses for TUKE employees and students. The AI4UNI project is supported by the SPP Foundation. The courses will be held in Slovak and Czech.

Training for TUKE Employees and Students: AI in the Academic Environment: Tools and Techniques for Research and Academic Productivity

Format: Online, 2 training sessions of 3 hours each

Faster Access to Academic Sources with AI – Without Fabricated CitationsParticipants will learn a practical workflow for efficiently moving from a research question to verified academic sources and a usable output. Through live demonstrations of tools such as Elicit, Consensus, SciSpace, and Litmaps, they will see how these tools can be used when writing a thesis or academic paper, as well as when preparing teaching materials.

2-hour lecture + 1-hour discussion
Your Personal AI Assistant for Study, Research, and Teaching – No Programming RequiredParticipants will learn how to turn an ordinary chatbot into a working tool that can draw on their files, notes, and academic sources. We will explore the differences between ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, and Claude Code; working with a “second brain” in Obsidian; creating custom AI skills; and securely connecting AI with data. We will also briefly cover presenting results using vibe coding, AI detection, and TUKE rules.


CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION will be awarded to participants who complete both online lectures. After completing the training, participants will receive access to the recordings and PDF materials.
 

Training for TUKE Employees: AI in the Academic Environment: Tools and Techniques for Modern Higher Education Teaching

Format: In person, 1 training session: 4 hours

November 2026Practical Tools and Techniques for Modern Higher Education TeachingThe training will focus on the practical use of artificial intelligence in the preparation and delivery of higher education teaching, including the creation of presentations, study materials, assignments, tests, and assessment criteria. Through practical demonstrations, participants will work with their own materials, create an AI assistant for a course, and explore how AI can support interactive and effective teaching.


CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION will be awarded to participants who complete the training session. In addition, participants of the in-person training will receive a paid version of a selected AI tool, which they will be able to use during the training.
