Research Mobility Grant for Doctoral Students

Designed for PhD students across all academic fields (excluding clinical medicine) planning to conduct 6 to 9 months of research at an accredited U.S. university or research institution.
 

• Requirements: Slovak citizenship, Master's degree (2nd cycle), excellent command of English, strong motivation.
• Grant Coverage: Monthly stipend, round-trip airfare, basic health insurance, visa sponsorship, and full administrative support.
• Application Deadline: December 1, 2026 (by 11:59 PM)

2. Fulbright Schuman Program
 

Grants for EU Citizens: Research, Lecturing, and Study in the USA

Offers grants for research, study, or lecturing focused on US-EU relations, EU policy, or transatlantic affairs for periods ranging from 3 months to 1 academic year.
 

• Available Award Tracks: Graduate study/research, Postdoctoral research/lecturing, Fulbright-NATO Award for security studies, International Educator Grants, Innovation Grants.

3. Ronald and Eileen Weiser Professional Development Award
 

Research Stay at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (USA)

Supports Slovak university educators with 6-week to 3-month research visits at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in any field of research or teaching in collaboration with local faculty.
 

• Grant Timeline: September – November 2026 or February – April 2027.
