Mobility, Research and Collaboration – Ulysseus at the Faculty of Arts TUKE
On March 11, 2026, an informal meeting titled “Afternoon Coffee with the Ulysseus Innovation Hub” took place in the atrium of the Faculty of Arts at the Technical University of Košice (TUKE). The event aimed to present opportunities for the faculty to engage in the activities of the Ulysseus European Universities Alliance.
The event was intended for faculty staff interested in international projects, research collaboration, and mobility opportunities. Participants were introduced to the structure and functioning of the alliance, its partner universities, and the current opportunities it offers for academic staff, researchers, and students.
The program focused in particular on presenting the alliance, opportunities for staff mobility, project opportunities for research activities, and the activities of the Ulysseus Joint Research & Innovation Groups, as well as the work of the UlySA student association. Opportunities for supporting mobility through the Euraxess network were also introduced.
The discussion focused on concrete ways in which the Faculty of Arts TUKE and its staff can become more actively involved in joint initiatives of the alliance and further develop international cooperation in the fields of art, research, and creative innovation. The meeting also provided space for the exchange of experiences among faculty staff and opened a discussion on new interdisciplinary projects connecting art, technology, and the creative industries.
As stated during the discussion by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts TUKE, Assoc. Prof. Richard Kitta, ArtD. – “I consider the active participation of the Faculty of Arts TUKE within the Ulysseus alliance to be very important. The connection of art, technology, interdisciplinary research, and the creative industries at the European level opens new opportunities for professional collaboration for our teachers, researchers, and students.”
