On 20 February 2026, the East Slovak Museum in Košice opened an exhibition offering an unconventional perspective on the history of theatre in Košice, interconnecting scenography, architecture, and contemporary artistic approaches. The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Košice Self-Governing Region Rastislav Trnka, the General Director of the National Theatre Košice Ondrej Šoth, the Director of the Museum Dominik Béreš, and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the Technical University of Košice Richard Kitta.

The concept and realization of the intermedia exhibition “Theatre in the Museum / Museum in the Theatre” were carried out by a team from the Faculty of Arts of the Technical University of Košice. The exhibition also represents the fulfilment of a memorandum of cooperation between the participating institutions. It highlights the importance of collaboration between cultural and educational institutions in developing joint domestic and international artistic projects. The Faculty of Arts of the Technical University of Košice is therefore an important partner in this endeavour.

The exhibition will run until the end of June 2026.
